Are you a capable and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in Harrow?
Teach Now is recruiting teaching assistants to support local primary schools with day-to-day and short-term staffing requirements. You may work in EYFS, KS1, KS2 or within an SEN support role, depending on your skills and preferences.
Every Supply Teaching Assistant booking is different. You could be helping children practise phonics one day and supporting a pupil with additional needs the next. This variety makes the role ideal for candidates who enjoy learning, adapting and meeting new school communities.
- Welcoming pupils and helping them settle into learning
- Supporting teacher-led activities and independent work
- Encouraging pupils who lack confidence or concentration
- Delivering short interventions with guidance from the teacher
- Helping children with communication or learning needs
- Reinforcing classroom expectations and positive behaviour
- Assisting with displays, equipment and learning resources
- Providing feedback to the class teacher at the end of the day
Candidates should have:
- Recent experience working with children or young people
- A genuine interest in primary education
- Reliable attendance and professional conduct
- The confidence to work in unfamiliar classrooms
- A patient and inclusive approach
- The right to work in the UK
- A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
Candidates with school-based experience, an education qualification or SEN knowledge may be considered for the higher end of the advertised rate.
