Teach Now is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants for flexible assignments in primary schools throughout Enfield.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced teaching assistants who want to choose when they work, gain experience in different settings or fit school hours around existing commitments. Bookings may include general classroom support, one-to-one SEND assistance, intervention work or additional help during particularly busy periods.
No two days will be identical. You might help Reception pupils settle into morning routines, support phonics in Year 1 or guide a small group through a Year 6 mathematics task.
- Supporting the teacher with lessons and classroom organisation
- Working with individuals or groups who need additional explanation
- Helping pupils remain focused and involved in learning
- Supporting phonics, reading, writing or numeracy activities
- Assisting children with SEND in line with school guidance
- Preparing resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
- Supervising pupils during transitions, breaktimes or lunchtimes
- Promoting positive behaviour and respectful relationships
- Reporting concerns promptly to the appropriate member of staff
- Recent experience supporting children in a school, nursery or relevant setting
- A good standard of spoken and written English
- Confidence working with children of different ages and abilities
- Patience, initiative and a positive approach
- The ability to follow instructions and adapt to different school systems
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- The right to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Two appropriate professional references
A Level 2 or Level 3 teaching-assistant qualification is desirable but not always essential where applicants have strong and relevant experience.
