Support Worker / Care Professional - Transition into Specialist Education

Salary: £95-£120 per day

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist SEND school within a well-established multi-academy trust in Sheffield.

The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs and associated complex needs. As part of a multi-academy trust, there may also be opportunities to work across other specialist settings within the trust.



The Role

  • Support pupils throughout the school day on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Build trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued and confident.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Encourage pupils to develop communication, independence and life skills.
  • Support pupils with personal care where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour through patience, consistency and empathy.
  • Work alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals to provide the best outcomes for every pupil.
  • Help create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment.

Pay Rate

The daily rate for this position is £95-£120 per day.

Where you fall within this pay range will depend on several factors, including:

  • Your previous care, healthcare or SEND experience.
  • Relevant qualifications, training and transferable skills.
  • The budget allocated to the role by the school. While Tradewind Recruitment always strives to secure the highest possible rate for our candidates, the final daily rate will ultimately be determined by the school's available budget for the position. This means that candidates with similar experience and qualifications may receive different rates depending on the funding available for the role.
