Academics are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' SEN School and Residential Provision in Lymington for students aged 11 - 19 years old. The school offers 52-week residential care for boys and girls with a diagnosis of Autism, severe learning difficulties and associated behaviours.

They are seeking a number of passionate Support Worker's to offer support and encouragement to young people in a variety of settings including residential, education and off-site activities.

As a Support Worker, you will be required to enable their young people to develop by providing physical and emotional support. The role of a Support Worker is about working as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of young people first.

The successful Support Worker must be a good role model and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times whilst on duty or representing the school at outside events.

The role is to start ASAP on a temp to perm basis paying £13.62 per hour. Starting salary is £28,329.60 (working a 52 week per year contract), risng after a successful probation.

Full-time, 52 week a year contracts available, as well as term-time only working 38 weeks per year.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, working a variety of shifts including early, late and longer days between 7.30am - 10.30pm. Wakings nights are available working 42 hours per week, working 9pm - 7.30am.

Support Worker's will ideally possess a Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification, or have recent relevant experience. On site training including face to face safeguarding training and prevent online training.
