We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with a range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, or other support needs. The successful candidate will work closely with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals to deliver tailored support that enables individuals to live safely and independently within their home and community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in accordance with individual care and support plans.
- Assist service users with activities of daily living, including personal care, dressing, bathing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene where required.
- Support individuals with meal preparation, nutrition, hydration, shopping, and light household duties.
- Encourage independence by helping service users develop life skills, confidence, and daily routines.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments, community activities, social events, education, or other planned outings.
- Administer or assist with medication in line with company policies, training, and medication administration procedures.
- Observe and report any changes in a service user's physical, emotional, or behavioural wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, daily notes, incident reports, and medication records.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns regarding the welfare or safety of vulnerable adults or children.
- Promote equality, diversity, dignity, privacy, and respect in every aspect of care.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, families, and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Comply with all health and safety, infection prevention, and company policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, or in a similar care role is desirable.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering outstanding care.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing professional development.
