Position: Support Worker
Location: Gawcott, Buckingham
Salary: £26,853 per annum
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
This is an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team at Old Barn, a registered care home for four adults with learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities.
As a Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred support, helping people feel respected, included and empowered to develop independence and achieve their personal goals. You will work closely with colleagues, families and professionals, valuing collaboration to create a safe and positive home environment.
About the role
You will:
- Support people with daily living skills, activities and personal care
- Promote independence, choice and dignity
- Help individuals work towards their goals and aspirations
- Support medication, health, safety and wellbeing
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and mentoring new staff
Working Pattern: Five days per week on a rota basis across a seven-day period, with a varied shift pattern that includes sleep-in duties (for sleep-ins you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £52.78)
About you
You will bring experience in care or support, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to help others thrive. You will communicate well, work flexibly across shifts, and share our commitment to respect, inclusion and empowerment.
Holds a care certificate or willingness to undertake a care qualification
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
