Support Worker - Learning Disabilities

Experienced Support Workers required to work in a supported living services for learning disabilities. We have full time permanent roles based in Shoeburyness. Essex and Hadleigh area, Essex   Note that our client does not offer sponsorship at this time.  Basic salary  £25,417.60 per year. With sleep-ins your estimated earnings will be £27,494 - £29,725 per year

Candidates will need to live within a half hour commutable distance to Shoeburyness,

This position is a full time, 40 hour per week contract and will include day, weekend, and sleep in working. Sleep-in shifts are paid in addition to the basic salary at £5.00 extra  per hour. Overtime is available.

Shift patterns are; Monday – Sunday

• Early Shift: 07:00 to 15:00
• Late Shift: 15:00 to 23:00
• Sleep In: 23:00 – 07:00

As a Support Worker, you will need to have at least one year's experience working as a support worker.  You will be responsible for;

• Providing care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the service management
• Support and enable adults to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care
• Support adults in maintaining their tenancy
• Maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as required to maintain and progress knowledge
