Support Worker

We are looking for a caring, compassionate, and reliable Support Worker to provide person-centred care and support to individuals, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

The successful candidate will support individuals with their daily activities, personal care, medication where appropriate, appointments, and community involvement. They will provide emotional and practical support, build positive relationships, and ensure that individuals' needs and preferences are respected.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support.
Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
Promote independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
Support individuals with social and community activities.
Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
Assist with medication in line with training and procedures.
Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or changes in wellbeing.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality procedures.
Work effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.
Attend training, supervision, and team meetings as required.


Required Documents and Checks

Proof of identity – valid passport, driving licence or other accepted identification.
Right to work in the UK – appropriate evidence or online right-to-work verification.
Enhanced DBS check – appropriate DBS check for the role, including barred-list information where legally applicable.
Full employment history – including explanations for any gaps in employment.
References – satisfactory employment or professional references, normally covering relevant previous employment.
Relevant qualifications – certificates for any care or health and social care qualifications held, such as an NVQ/QCF.
