Family Support Worker - Waking Nights

Location: Ramsgate & Broadstairs

Salary: £14.50/hour

Days: 3 shifts/week

Hours: 22.30 - 09.30 (11 hour shifts)

We are partnering with an Outstanding provider in the search for more committed Residential Family Support Workers to support parents and children within a residential setting. You will help families develop the skills and confidence to meet their own needs and those of their children, working closely with professionals to ensure positive outcomes.

The Night Worker role provides safety, support, care and guidance to families placed with our client for assessment throughout the night, from 10:30pm to 9:30am.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their experience within a supportive, professional environment and could provide a strong foundation for those considering a future career in social work, early years, nursing, therapy or psychology.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to safeguarding and equality.
  • Strong communication, observation, and record-keeping skills.
  • Experience of working with children or babies
  • Willingness to complete Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (Residential Pathway) qualification if not already held
  • Flexibility and teamwork.
  • Due to Ofsted Regulations, all employees must be over 21 years of age
  • Physically fit
  • Resilient and motivated person
  • Calm, approachable manner, adaptable and non-judgemental
