Part-Time Care/Support Worker – Romford

Location: Romford, Essex
Hours: 20 hours per week
Pay: Competitive rate, depending on experience

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and respectful Part-Time Care/Support Worker to support a vulnerable individual in Romford for 20 hours per week.

The successful applicant will provide person-centred support that promotes the individual’s independence, dignity, safety and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities

• Supporting the individual with daily living activities
• Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
• Encouraging independence, choice and community participation
• Supporting with personal care, where required
• Assisting with meal preparation and light household tasks
• Supporting attendance at appointments and community activities
• Following the individual’s care and risk-management plans
• Maintaining accurate daily care records
• Reporting any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns promptly
• Working professionally with relatives, healthcare professionals and the wider care team

Essential Requirements

• A caring, patient and respectful approach
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Ability to provide person-centred support
• Right to work in the UK
• An Enhanced DBS check and safer recruitment checks

Previous care or support-work experience is desirable, although applicants with the right values and attitude will also be considered. Relevant training and ongoing support will be provided.

The working pattern will be agreed according to the individual’s assessed needs. Some flexibility may be required.
