We are currently recruiting Support Workers to join our team across our residential and supported living services, including Rochael, Menchare, and other AS Care Solutions settings.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to individuals living within our residential and supported living services. You will support people to maintain their health and wellbeing, develop life skills, access the community, and achieve their personal goals while promoting independence and positive outcomes.

You will work closely with Team Leaders, Senior Support Workers, healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to ensure individuals receive safe, effective, and compassionate support.

Main Responsibilities

Supporting individuals with personal care where required, maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect at all times. Administering medication and completing medication records in line with company policies and training. Supporting individuals to attend GP appointments, hospital visits, reviews, and other professional appointments. Supporting individuals with meal planning, shopping, food preparation, and healthy eating. Encouraging and supporting individuals to access community activities, education, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Promoting independence and supporting individuals to develop daily living skills. Supporting individuals with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, changing bedding, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Completing IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) cleaning duties and ensuring all areas meet hygiene and infection control standards. Handling service user finances, petty cash, shopping budgets, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with company procedures. Following individual care plans, risk assessments, PBS plans, behaviour support plans, and support guidelines. Supporting individuals with emotional wellbeing and mental health recovery. Maintaining accurate daily notes, incident reports, communication records, and financial documentation. Reporting accidents, incidents, safeguarding concerns, and changes in health or behaviour promptly. Working collaboratively with colleagues and professionals to provide high-quality care and support.

Working Pattern

Day shifts, waking night shifts, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins may be required. Flexibility to work across residential and supported living services is essential. Overtime opportunities may be available.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 6 months experience working within a health and social care setting. Care Certificate completed. Good understanding of person-centred care and promoting independence. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and duty of care. Ability to maintain accurate records and follow company policies and procedures. Willingness to work day shifts, waking nights, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins where required. Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Requirements

Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs. Experience working within supported living or residential care services. Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS, Positive Behaviour Support, and safeguarding legislation. Experience administering medication. Experience handling service user finances and maintaining financial records. Full UK Driving Licence.
