We're looking for a Support Worker to join our Young People's Service, supporting 18-24-year-olds, including young people leaving care and those who have experienced homelessness.
This is a semi-independent housing service, meaning you'll provide support and guidance rather than personal care.
You'll help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards independent living, making a real difference to their future.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting young people to achieve their goals and live independently
- Completing support plans, risk assessments, and regular reviews
- Helping with everyday life skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing a tenancy
- Encouraging engagement with education, employment, training, and community services
- Working with external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for young people
- Keeping accurate records and maintaining safeguarding standards
- Working both independently and as part of a supportive team

Shift Pattern
This role works on a 2-week rolling rota, including:
- Weekday shifts
- Approximately one weekend shift per week
- Some Bank Holiday working
- No sleep-ins required
Additional Information
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Full driving licence preferred but not essential
- Travel to training in Houghton Regis and occasionally other Hertfordshire locations will be required
