Rotating Double Days (must be able to work both shifts):
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Technical Production Operators to join our manufacturing team in Congleton. Working within our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) department, you will play a key role in the production of high-quality electronic products. In addition to operating production equipment, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, assist with process improvements, support fault finding activities, and progress towards specialist engineering or technical roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor SMT production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up, load, and maintain production lines to achieve quality and productivity targets.
- Carry out visual inspections and basic quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
- Support first-line troubleshooting and assist with resolving machine and equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Follow manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and health and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Ensure work areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or SMT experience (preferred but not essential).
- Have experience operating automated production machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- Possess a mechanical, engineering, manufacturing, or technical qualification (desirable).
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Enjoy learning new skills and developing technical knowledge.
- Have good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
- Can work effectively as part of a team while also taking ownership of individual responsibilities.
- Are flexible and able to work a rotating double-day shift pattern.
- Have a strong commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.
