CNC Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a Surface Treatments Operator to join their production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in surface finishing or manufacturing who enjoys working in a hands-on production environment. You'll play an important role in processing precision components through a variety of surface treatment processes while ensuring quality standards and customer deadlines are consistently met.
Working within a supportive team, you'll report to the Production Manager through the Cell Leader and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the treatment department.
The Role
As a Surface Treatments Operator, you'll be responsible for preparing and processing components through a range of specialist surface treatment processes, following the production schedule and maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
You'll ensure components are correctly prepared, treated and inspected while working to production targets and customer delivery deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and jig components ready for treatment processes.
Carry out abrasive blasting operations.
Process components through chemical conversion coating lines.
Perform anodising and passivation treatments.
Prepare surfaces to required specifications.
Apply masking techniques where required.
Handle treatment chemicals safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Monitor treatment equipment and support the operation of the DI plant and effluent systems.
Follow production schedules to ensure customer deadlines are achieved.
Maintain high standards of quality throughout the treatment process.
Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
Carry out any other duties as required by the Production Manager or Cell Leader.
What We're Looking ForExperience
Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or surface treatments is desirable.
Experience of anodising, passivation, chemical conversion coatings or abrasive blasting would be advantageous.
Experience handling chemicals in an industrial environment is beneficial.
Experience working to production targets and quality standards.
Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of jigging techniques for surface treatments.
Understanding of chemical treatment processes.
Experience with masking techniques, including liquid masking, is desirable.
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules.
Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications
GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths, are desirable.
