Systems Architect
Copello
We are currently partnering with a world-leading defence engineering organisation to recruit a Systems Architect to join their growing Mission Planning & Control team.
You'll join a collaborative architecture team responsible for shaping complex system designs using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and working across multiple engineering disciplines.
If you're passionate about systems architecture, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and want to contribute to cutting-edge defence technology, I'd love to hear from you.
The role:
Working alongside the Lead Architect and wider engineering teams, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining system architectures that support the delivery of sophisticated Mission Planning capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop system designs using MBSE principles.
- Producing and reviewing architecture models and technical artefacts.
- Supporting key engineering milestones and design reviews.
- Ensuring system models remain accurate, coherent and drive successful development.
- Maintaining traceability across the wider Weapon Systems programme.
- Promoting architectural best practice, standardisation and re-use across product lines.
- Working within a highly collaborative engineering environment to solve complex technical challenges.
What we're looking for:
We're interested in hearing from candidates with experience in systems architecture and Model-Based Systems Engineering, ideally with knowledge of:
- Rhapsody or a similar modelling tool.
- SysML and systems architecture principles.
- DOORS Next Generation (or equivalent requirements management tools).
- Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or similar configuration management tools.
- Working across complex engineering programmes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Previous experience within Mission Planning or defence systems would be beneficial but isn't essential.
What's on offer:
Alongside a highly rewarding technical role, you'll receive an excellent benefits package including:
- Salary up to £54,000, depending on experience.
- Up to 14% combined pension contribution.
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
- Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave.
- Healthcare Cash Plan covering everyday healthcare costs including dental, optical and wellbeing.
- Excellent on-site facilities including subsidised meals, free parking and more.
Security Requirements
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be British Citizens or Dual UK Nationals with British citizenship and be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) Clearance following an offer of employment.
