Prospero Teaching are currently seeking experienced Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team and support Primary schools and resource bases across Sandwell. Whether you're looking for short-term daily supply or longer-term commitments, we have a variety of roles available to suit your availability and experience.


Role Details:
· Position: Supply Teaching Assistant
· Location: Various Primary Schools in Sandwell
· Start Date: From September 2026
· Role Type: Short-term daily supply to longer-term assignments


Key Responsibilities:
· Support teachers with the delivery of lessons and classroom management.
· Work with individuals or small groups of students to assist with their learning.
· Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
· Provide support to students with varying needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
· Adapt to different classroom settings, building strong relationships with pupils and staff quickly.


Ideal Candidate:
· Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, ideally with experience across the primary age range.
· Experience supporting students with SEND is highly preferable.
· A proactive, adaptable, and reliable approach to supporting diverse learners.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
· Flexibility to work across a range of schools and year groups.


Teaching Assistant Contract/Position Details
Location - Sandwell
Position -Primary Teaching Assistants
Type of work - Teaching Assistant / SEND Teaching Assistant
Start date - From September 2026
Position end date - Ongoing
Contract type - Temporary
Full-time/Part-time - Supply basis, full-time and part-time available
Minimum rate of pay - GBP 92.63
Hours - 8:30 - 3:30(term time only)


Supply TA Experience, Training, and Qualifications
It is essential that you have Teaching assistant experience and curriculum knowledge, along with a relevant qualification Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Childcare/TA
Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.


To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.Provide two professional child-related references.
