Jackson Hogg is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Toilet Tanker Driver to join their team based at the Newcastle depot.
This is a varied and hands-on role responsible for servicing portable toilets and welfare units across customer sites. The successful candidate will operate a tanker vehicle to empty, clean and maintain units while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring all environmental, health and safety regulations are followed.
The Role
As a Toilet Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled servicing of portable toilets and welfare facilities at customer locations, ensuring units remain clean, operational and compliant throughout the hire period.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a tanker vehicle to empty and service portable toilets and welfare units
- Carry out routine cleaning, sanitising and replenishment of consumables
- Ensure waste is collected, transported and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations
- Complete daily service routes efficiently and professionally
- Conduct vehicle and equipment checks before and after use
- Maintain accurate records of servicing activities and customer visits
- Report any damaged units, equipment defects or customer issues
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures
- Deliver outstanding customer service when attending customer sites
- Keep vehicles, pumps and equipment clean and in good working order
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Class C or C1 Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years' professional driving experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
Desirable
- Previous tanker driving experience
- Experience within portable sanitation, waste management, utilities or similar industries
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area

- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic IT and paperwork administration skills
