Job Title: Taper & Jointer (Residential Refurbishment project)
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting skilled and reliable Taper Jointer for a residential project in Saffron Walden. The contract involves preparing, jointing, and finishing thin plasterboard installations, as well as preparing internal/external wall surfaces for render coats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply tape and jointing compounds to thin plasterboard seams, corners, and fixings.
- Prepare background surfaces, beadings, and thin-board substrates ready for rendering/coating.
- Sand and feather joints to guarantee a seamless, defect-free, paint-ready finish.
- Coordinate efficiently with on-site plasterers, boarders, and painters.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of professional taping and jointing experience.
- Previous experience working with thin plasterboard specs and rendering systems.
- Valid CSCS skills card
- Own transport and professional hand/mechanical taping tools.
- Strong focus on quality, cleanliness, and site health & safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Approximately 4-6 week duration
- Payment: £28.75p/h CIS/PAYE Umbrella (equivalent to £21.64p/h PAYE direct) (Based on a 8 hour day)
