We are recruiting for a Targeted Services Officer to join a Prevention Team, supporting young people and families to reduce the risk of offending, improve life chances and promote positive outcomes.
The RoleYou will work directly with young people in a range of settings, delivering individual and group interventions, managing a caseload and supporting young people who may be vulnerable, at risk of offending or displaying challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan and deliver targeted interventions for young people and families.
- Manage a caseload and maintain accurate electronic case records.
- Deliver individual and group programmes to develop confidence, skills and positive behaviours.
- Work with young people at risk of offending, harm or poor life outcomes.
- Support families to address concerns and access appropriate services.
- Advocate for young people and ensure their views are represented.
- Work closely with statutory, voluntary and community partners.
- Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures effectively.
- Develop positive activities and opportunities that promote engagement and resilience.
You will have experience working with young people and their families, including experience of case management and delivering individual or group interventions. You will be confident working with young people who may display challenging behaviour and have a strong understanding of safeguarding, risk and child protection.
Enhanced DBS required. Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle essential.
