Job description
We are recruiting for a Tax Compliance & Reporting Support to join our client, an accountancy and business advisory firm, in their tax team. This is a 12 month contract opportunity,  offering an excellent day rate.

About the role:
Our client is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic tax professional to join their finance team on a maternity cover assignment.

The role sits within a small, collaborative team of three based in Guildford and offers broad exposure across corporate tax, employment tax and transfer pricing compliance. Whilst tax experience is ideal, the client is more focused on finding someone with the right attitude, strong attention, good project management and data gathering and analysis skills, and a willingness to learn and become an integral part of the team.

Comprehensive process documentation and training materials are already in place, making this an excellent opportunity for a someone looking to broaden their experience across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities include;
  • Manage all aspects of the corporate tax compliance cycle, including the preparation and review of corporation tax computations and Quarterly Instalment Payment calculations
  • Support employment tax compliance requirements, including PSA submissions and Employment Related Securities filings, whilst assisting the business in preparation for the payrolling of benefits
  • Support local transfer pricing compliance requirements, validating existing transfer pricing policies and helping coordinate responses to changes in filing requirements, including developments such as ICTS
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of tax-related balance sheet positions
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and enhance efficiency across the compliance cycle
  • Work closely with finance and wider business stakeholders to ensure compliance obligations are delivered accurately and on time

About you:
  • Experience within corporate tax compliance, either from practice or industry
  • Assistant Manager level experience, or an experienced Assistant ready to step up
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • A willingness to learn new technical areas and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to the wider team

Working Pattern: Three days per week
Office Attendance: Initially two days per week on-site, reducing to one day per week on-site as the assignment progresses
