Are you an experienced tax professional looking for a flexible, high-impact opportunity?

We're working with a leading organisation in Central London that is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join its trusted finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate tax and/or indirect tax specialist who enjoys taking ownership, identifying opportunities for improvement and making a tangible difference to tax processes, controls and governance.

The role
Working closely with the finance team, you'll provide focused tax leadership across the business, with a particular emphasis on reviewing and strengthening the organisation's existing tax framework.
You'll assess current tax processes, controls and arrangements, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and develop a practical framework to enhance compliance, governance and delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing existing arrangements across corporate tax, indirect tax and employment taxes
  • Identifying tax risks, control gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Recommending practical and proportionate improvements
  • Strengthening tax structures, processes and documentation
  • Developing and implementing robust tax controls and governance
  • Working with external tax advisers and auditors where required
  • Creating a clear implementation plan to ensure agreed changes are embedded before the end of the contract
This is a role where you can make an immediate impact, bringing your expertise to an organisation that wants to strengthen its tax processes and leave a lasting, well-structured framework in place.

About you

We're looking for a qualified and experienced tax professional with a strong practical understanding of tax compliance, reporting, risk and governance.
You'll ideally have:

  • Experience of tax reporting, compliance and working with external advisers and auditors
  • A strong understanding of tax risk, controls and governance
  • Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills

  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the confidence to identify issues and implement improvements
