About the Organisation

We are an educational establishment dedicated to ensuring everyone receives a quality education, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Our education, housing, and wellbeing services work directly alongside individuals to build the skills and resilience needed to succeed.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Teacher of Care to join our small, supportive local team. In this rewarding role, you will deliver engaging lessons in Care alongside general Life Skills, guiding young people who may have previously faced significant barriers to learning.

Alongside teaching, you will play a crucial role in pastoral support, helping students make meaningful progress toward their qualifications and next steps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, creating quality resources and maintaining positive learning spaces.

  • Teach designated Care modules alongside Life Skills modules (using ready-made learning resources).

  • Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student progress to ensure successful qualification outcomes.

  • Support students pastorally, working collaboratively with colleagues to identify additional support needs.

  • Contribute to course assurance, quality standards, and enrichment activities within the centre.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 (or equivalent Level 2 qualification).

  • Teaching Qualification: Desirable but not essential-we welcome applications from individuals looking to enter the teaching profession and offer support for those new to the field.

  • Checks: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

  • Attributes: Adaptable, empathetic, and committed to putting students first in an inclusive environment.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive starting salary with structured progression pathways in the first year and beyond.

  • A supportive environment with ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

  • An inclusive, fair-chance workplace culture.

We are a fair and inclusive employer welcoming candidates from all backgrounds. We assess all applications confidentially, proportionately, and fairly.
