Tradewind Recruitment are proudly working alongside a progressive and vibrant school in the London borough of Bexley in their hiring of a talented, temporary teacher of French and Spanish from September 2024. The school takes pride in focusing on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in its care. In 2019, 60% of the school's students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Their Progress 8 score was 0.018. At A level in 2019, 96% of the grades were A*-E with 30% at A*-B and 63% at A*-C.
Similarly, high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications. Under the arrangements for Summer 2021 examinations, students in Years 11 and 13 continued to make very good progress. Their flourishing Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses at AS and A2 level, as well as vocational level 2 and 3 courses.
This helps demonstrates that this is a prestigious and rewarding place to teach. In return the school seek a committed and talented teacher of French and Spanish to take their students through this critical time of the year until the end of the academic year.
The overriding criteria the school's senior leadership team are looking for is a well-qualified, motivated and innovative MFL teacher who is committed to raising achievement and have the capacity to make a real contribution to the work of a supportive and continually improving school. The ability to teach across the age and ability range is required.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and UK classroom experience
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to a range of subjects and learning styles
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student wellbeing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and willingness to take on different roles within the classroom
- UK driving license (desirable)
- Deliver engaging lessons across a varying range of subjects to students in line with the school curriculum
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students
- Collaborate with existing staff to ensure continuity and support for students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes
- Uphold the school's values and policies, promoting respect and a positive attitude among students
