Teacher of Psychology - KS4 & A-Level


Clarence Recruitment is delighted to be working with a successful and ambitious secondary school in Leicester seeking an outstanding Teacher of Psychology to join their thriving Social Sciences department from the new academic term.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and inspiring Psychology specialist to teach motivated students across Key Stage 4 and A-Level, helping them develop a deeper understanding of human behaviour, cognitive processes, research methods and contemporary psychological issues.

The Role


The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Psychology lessons at KS4 and A-Level.
  • Inspire students to achieve their full academic potential.
  • Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the continued success and development of the Social Sciences faculty.
  • Support enrichment opportunities and wider school activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards.
  • Participate fully in parents' evenings, departmental meetings and professional development activities.


Person Specification


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Psychology at KS4 and/or A-Level.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Psychology.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and delivering outstanding outcomes.
  • The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
