Teacher of Social Sciences - KS4 & A-Level
Clarence Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and ambitious Teacher of Social Sciences to join a thriving secondary school in Rugby, Warwickshire, from the new term.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a passionate educator who can deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons across Key Stage 4 and A-Level. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach one or more Social Science subjects, including Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Health & Social Care, or Citizenship, helping students develop a deeper understanding of human behaviour, society, and contemporary issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Social Sciences lessons at KS4 and A-Level.
- Inspire students through engaging, challenging, and thought-provoking teaching.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing meaningful feedback and targeted support.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring excellent outcomes.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
- Support enrichment activities that enhance students' understanding of Social Sciences.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate fully in parents' evenings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching Social Sciences at KS4 and/or A-Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Social Science education.
- Ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire learners of all abilities.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to raising attainment and promoting positive student outcomes.
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
