• Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover (Initially 6 Months, Potential to Extend)
• Salary: £170.00 - £260.00 per day (aligned with your current pay scale)

Teacher of Travel & Tourism Required - Thanet

Academics are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school and sixth form in Thanet who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Travel & Tourism to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time maternity cover basis.

This position is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across BTEC Travel & Tourism Level 2 and Level 3 courses, helping students develop both their academic knowledge and industry-relevant skills.

The successful candidate will:

• Plan and deliver inspiring Travel & Tourism lessons to Level 2 and Level 3 learners
• Monitor and assess student progress in line with BTEC requirements
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support students in achieving their full potential
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider school community

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching Travel & Tourism, preferably at BTEC Level 2 and/or Level 3
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
• Has excellent organisational and communication abilities
• Is passionate about vocational education and student success
