Careermakers Recruitment is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools throughout the North West. We have a variety of day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent opportunities available, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), SEN Teaching Assistant, or have previous experience working with children, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay Rates

  • General Teaching Assistant: £85–£110 per day
  • SEN / 1:1 Teaching Assistant: £105–£130 per day

Pay is dependent on experience, qualifications and the nature of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and school staff.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school, nursery, care, youth work or coaching environment is desirable.
  • A caring, enthusiastic and professional approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
