Destination Education
We are currently recruiting for several TA vacancies at an outstanding specialist school in Oxford, with opportunities available across their Primary, Secondary and Post-16 departments.
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a genuinely rewarding role where you can make a difference to young
This is an exciting opportunity to join an all-through specialist setting, supporting pupils and students at different stages of their education and helping them develop academically, socially, emotionally and towards greater independence.
💜 A SCHOOL THAT PUTS THE INDIVIDUAL FIRST
This is a school where staff take the time to understand each young person's individual needs.
The school's approach is highly nurturing, personalised and aspirational. Learning is carefully adapted around pupils' individual starting points and EHCP targets, while staff place a strong emphasis on developing confidence, independence, emotional wellbeing and preparation for adult life. There is a real sense that every achievement matters.
Whether supporting a young person in the classroom, helping them develop communication and social skills, supporting emotional regulation or preparing older students for adulthood, TAs play a hugely important role in the life of the school.
⭐ OUTSTANDING OFSTED
The school's latest Ofsted inspection in July 2024 confirmed that it continues to be an Outstanding school.
Ofsted described it as a highly nurturing place where pupils feel valued and accepted for who they are.
Inspectors highlighted that:
⭐ Staff know pupils' individual SEND needs extremely well
⭐ Pupils make excellent academic, social and emotional progress
⭐ The curriculum is highly personalised and aspirational
⭐ Staff receive high-quality training and use the latest research around learning, behaviour and SEND
⭐ Pupils are extremely well cared for and feel safe
⭐ The Post-16 curriculum prepares students exceptionally well for employment and adult life
⭐ Staff morale is “sky high”, with the school being considerate of staff workload
For a TA looking to develop their SEN experience, this is a setting where you can learn from highly skilled colleagues and develop your practice within an established specialist environment.
