Teaching Assistant - SEND (ASD & Complex Needs) - Full Time

Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:15pm

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex additional needs within a primary school Satelitte SEN setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping pupils achieve their individual goals in a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to provide high-quality support tailored to each child's needs.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with ASD and complex learning needs throughout the school day.

  • Assist with learning activities, communication, and social development.

  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated SEND team.



Requirements

  • Experience working with children with ASD and/or complex needs is desirable.

  • Experience in a primary school or educational setting is an advantage.

  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

  • Right to work in the UK.
