SEN Teaching Assistant – Must be Team Teach Trained

Salary: £95–£115 per day

Engage Education are currently recruiting for a Team Teach-trained SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Manchester.

The successful candidate will support pupils with SEN, SEMH, autism, behavioural needs and complex learning difficulties, providing both 1:1 and small-group support.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Helping pupils manage behaviour, emotions and engagement
• Implementing individual support strategies and EHCP targets
• Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
• Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment
• Assisting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development

Essential Requirements

• Valid Team Teach training – essential
• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour, SEMH or complex needs
• A patient, resilient and supportive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
