Are you a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a passion for helping young learners thrive both academically and personally?
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ipswich seeking a committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs and play a vital role in their educational journey.
The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
· Support pupils across the primary age range, maximum students in class at anytime.
· Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
· Provide support for children with additional needs.
· Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
· Assist in managing behaviour positively and promoting emotional wellbeing.
· Foster a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
· Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with Primary age students.
· Has experience supporting children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour
· Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
· Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
· Holds relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN support (desirable but not essential).
