Teaching Assistant
Heart Of Supply
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Louth, Lincolnshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)
Salary: £95-£105 per day, pro-rata (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)
About the role
Heart of Supply is seeing a growing need for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants as the new academic year gets underway, and we’re looking to connect with caring, proactive individuals to support our partner schools across Louth and the surrounding areas.
From providing dedicated 1:1 support to working with small groups and supporting pupils within the classroom, you’ll play an important role in helping children with additional needs feel supported, included and able to thrive.
Every school, child and assignment is different, so we’re particularly keen to hear from adaptable and compassionate Teaching Assistants who have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and can quickly build positive, trusting relationships.
Whether you’re looking for day-to-day supply, short-term assignments or a longer-term placement, we’d love to hear from you.

Our partner schools include local authority schools and academy settings that are well-supported, well-resourced, and focused on creating positive learning environments where children can flourish. We take pride in working with schools that value their staff and provide a friendly, supportive atmosphere for visiting educators.
What you will need:

- Clear, professional communication and a proactive, reliable attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff

- A kind, confident, and calm approach, with a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
- The ability to follow a teacher’s lead while using your initiative to support individuals and small groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- A flexible and proactive attitude, ready to step into different classrooms and year groups
- A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is helpful, but not essential if you have relevant experience
We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
