Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in Key Stage 1 and is looking for a long-term role within a supportive school environment.
The position is due to start on Monday 2nd November and will involve working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support to pupils across the KS1 curriculum.
The Role- Supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 during classroom lessons and activities.
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
- Supporting children with varying learning needs to access the curriculum effectively.
- Collaborating with teaching staff to promote pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Previous experience supporting children within a school setting is essential.
- A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
- Understanding of the KS1 curriculum would be advantageous.
- Competitive pay of £14.25 per hour.
