Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support - SEMH School

Luma Education Recruitment are working with a welcoming and supportive SEMH school in Warwick who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

This is a varied role supporting pupils across the school, helping them engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence. The school has a passionate and supportive team and provides a positive environment for both pupils and staff.

The Role

  • Support pupils with their learning across Maths, English and other subjects
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and lessons
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, engagement and progress
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEN and SEMH
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider support team

About You

We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants, LSAs, Learning Mentors, SEN support staff and candidates with relevant experience working with children or young people.

You will ideally be:

  • Experienced working with children or young people in an education, youth or support setting
  • Confident supporting Maths and English
  • Patient, positive and encouraging
  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils
  • Reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting young people
  • A strong team player with a professional approach
