Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Full-time, Long-Term temporary, Temp to Perm

Are you a Teaching Assistant or Early Career Teacher looking to build valuable classroom experience? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support Reception-aged pupils in a welcoming primary school in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers and ECTs, offering hands-on experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage alongside occasional PPA cover, allowing you to develop your teaching confidence and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils across Reception classes during lessons and activities.
  • Deliver small-group interventions to support learning and development.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day.
  • Provide occasional PPA cover, leading pre-planned lessons when required.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to support pupil progress.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children in a reception class, nursery, or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence supporting whole-class learning and small groups.
  • A proactive, positive, and flexible approach.
