£110-£120 per day

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Long Term Futures is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded infant school in Barnet, supporting within a Reception class from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who understands the pace, structure and expectations of a Reception classroom. The school has been very clear that they are looking for someone with previous Reception class experience, rather than nursery or preschool experience alone.
A minimum of six months' experience working within a Reception class in a primary school is essential. Unfortunately, applicants with nursery or preschool-only experience cannot be considered.
About the Role
Working alongside the Reception teacher and EYFS team, you will:
* Support teaching and learning within a busy Reception classroom
* Assist with the delivery of phonics, early reading, writing and maths activities
* Encourage children's communication, language and social development through structured learning and play
* Support pupils during continuous provision and adult-led activities
* Help prepare engaging learning resources and maintain an organised classroom environment
* Promote positive behaviour, independence and confidence throughout the school day
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff to ensure every child reaches their potential
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced Early Years team where you'll play a key role in helping children make a successful transition into school life.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum six months' experience working within a Reception class in a primary school
* Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and Reception curriculum
* Experience supporting phonics and early language development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, nurturing and proactive approach to supporting young learners
* Committed to a long-term role from September
