Pay: £515 - £550 per week
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The school has a strong community ethos, supportive leadership and a genuine commitment to helping every child succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children who is looking to begin or continue a career in education.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons across the primary age range.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying learning needs.
- Encourage children's academic, social and emotional development.
- Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an engaging learning environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils to stay focused and engaged.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children in any capacity, including education, childcare, sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, mentoring or similar settings.
- Is patient, caring and enthusiastic about helping children succeed.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well as part of a team and is willing to take initiative.
- Is reliable, professional and committed to making a positive impact.
- Is interested in pursuing a career in education (desirable but not essential).
