Pay: £450 – £600 per week (depending on experience)

About the schoolWe're working with a warm, welcoming and inclusive primary school in Redbridge looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD. The school values patience, consistency and positive relationships, and wants someone who can help the child access learning, build confidence and thrive in class.
Key responsibilities
- Support the pupil with their learning in class, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
- Work closely with the child with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and follow individual support plans.
- Assist the class teacher with classroom activities, resources and behaviour management.
- Observe the pupil's progress and provide clear, timely feedback to the teacher and SENCO.
- Help create a calm, structured environment that supports the pupil's engagement and wellbeing.
- Previous Teaching Assistant experience, ideally in Early Years or Key Stage 1.
- Hands-on experience supporting children with SEN, including ASD.
- A warm, patient and engaging approach with young children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
