Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Hackney from September 2026.

• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Location: Hackney, East London
• School: Secondary School
• Start Date: September 2026
• Contract: Full-time, long-term
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to improve attainment and confidence.
• Provide classroom support across a range of subject areas.
• Support students with SEND, SEMH, or those requiring additional learning support.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEN department to ensure students receive the support they need.

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
• A passion for supporting young people in their education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
