About the role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll support secondary-aged students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to achieve both academically and socially.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students in class and during practical activities
  • Encouraging communication, independence and confidence
  • Implementing positive behaviour strategies
  • Building trusting relationships with young people
  • Working closely with teachers and therapists
  • Supporting students with emotional regulation where needed
  • Assisting with personal care if required for individual students
