Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEND Support - September 2026 - Haringey

A welcoming Primary School in Haringey is looking to appoint a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis from September 2026.

This Teaching Assistant role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo, helping a pupil with SEND access learning, develop confidence and enjoy school life.

Psychology graduates are highly encouraged to apply, as this Teaching Assistant position provides an excellent opportunity to apply university learning within a supportive classroom environment.



Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support as a Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and learning
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and parents
  • Monitoring progress as a Teaching Assistant
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Promoting an inclusive learning environment

This long-term Teaching Assistant opportunity could also lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
