Reeson Education are working on behalf of a prestigious independent prep school in Kensington & Chelsea, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a maternity cover basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with a genuine passion for supporting children in their early years of education. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide outstanding support to pupils, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.

As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom.

• Provide targeted support to pupils, both individually and in small groups.

• Assist with phonics, literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.

• Help create a positive, nurturing and engaging learning environment.

• Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.

• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.

• Contribute to the wider life of this vibrant prep school.

The school are looking for someone who is:

• An experienced Teaching Assistant, ideally with experience in KS1 or Year 2.

• Passionate about working with children and supporting their learning.

• Warm, caring and approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Confident working both independently and as part of a team.

• Proactive, organised and adaptable.

• Committed to maintaining high standards and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Experience within an independent or prep school setting would be advantageous, although applications from strong candidates with relevant primary school experience are also welcomed.
