SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of a warm and welcoming primary school in Newham. The school is located a short walk from West Silvertown (DLR) station.

They are looking for an experienced and committed teaching assistant to join their wonderful school from September 2026.

As a teaching assistant in this position, you will work 1:1 with a male student in year. The students has a diagnosis of Autism and SEMH needs (social, emotional and mental health)

About you:

  • Will ideally be Team Teach trained
  • Will have experience supporting students with challenging behaviour and be able to implement positive behaviour routines
  • Show genuine care and concern for students' feelings and wellbeing
  • Be able to remain calm, composed and communicate effectively
  • Be able to use active listening and validate emotions
  • Be able to teach and model coping strategies and emotional regulation
