Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work on a part-time basis across our partner primary schools in Barking & Dagenham and the surrounding boroughs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain school experience or balance work around other commitments while supporting pupils in a friendly and inclusive learning environment.

As a Part-Time Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and help pupils achieve their full potential. Working across a range of year groups, you will assist with classroom activities, provide additional support where needed, and contribute to creating a positive and productive learning environment.

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
• Support pupils with SEN when needed.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting is desirable.
• A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence supporting pupils across a range of primary age groups.
• Ability to adapt to different school environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
