Teaching Assistant – English & Maths Support

Teaching Assistant Duties:
  • Support students in English and Maths lessons
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Help students develop confidence and independence in core subjects
  • Provide targeted intervention support where required
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Confidence supporting English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
