Teaching Assistant

Year 2 1:1 teaching Assistant –Gosport

Starting September on a temporary contract

Pay: £85 - £92 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 

About the role:

A full-time an energetic individual is needed to supporta Year 2 child with additinal needs for an interim period. Knowledge of Autism and SEMH is highly desirable for this role. The school is highly regarded in the area and is a thriving 2 form entry primary. 

• Pay: Daily Rate (£85-£92)
• Location: Hedge End
• Start Date: September 2026
• Hours: 08:30 - 3:30

Duties may include:

• Supporting on a 1:1 basis both for academic and social learning 
• Adapting resources to meet the needs of the child
• Liasing with the teacher and SENCO to ensure teaching and learning is suitable 
• Ensuring safeguarding proceedures are understood and followed 
• Supporting with pupil regulation and emotional well-being 
• Lunch time duties – supervising children eating and interacting with peers
