Premier Education is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable teaching assistants for primary schools across Tameside, Denton, Ashton-under-Lyne, Glossop and nearby areas.
We have flexible day-to-day work and longer-term roles across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Opportunities will be matched to your experience, availability and preferred year groups.
The role
- Support pupils in the classroom, individually and in small groups.
- Assist teachers with lessons, activities and classroom routines.
- Help pupils remain engaged and make progress.
- Support children with additional needs where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt confidently to different schools and year groups.
What we are looking for
- Recent experience working with children, ideally in a UK primary school.
- A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- A patient, positive and flexible approach.
- Good communication and behaviour-management skills.
- Confidence supporting children with different learning needs.
- An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- A commitment to safeguarding in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
