Primary Teaching Assistant – Rural Maidstone, Kent

Long-term opportunity | Temp to Perm potential | Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming rural primary school in the Maidstone area. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive school environment where you can make a real difference to children’s learning, confidence and development.

The school is looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, enjoys being part of a team, and is committed to creating a positive and engaging classroom experience. This is a long-term placement with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key information:

  • Location: Maidstone, Kent

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
  • Long-term placement with potential temp-to-perm opportunity

  • Previous experience working with children desirable, but not essential

  • Driving Licence (not essential)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with SEND (not essential)
  • A warm, patient and approachable personality

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • A proactive and adaptable approach in the classroom

  • Confidence supporting children academically, socially and emotionally

  • A willingness to learn and contribute to the school community

 

Graduates are encouraged to apply, particularly those who have studied subjects such as Psychology, Childcare, Education, Health & Social Care, or related fields, and are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
