Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit 3 dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in the Ely area of Cardiff from September.

These are full-time, long-term opportunities supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, making a real difference to children who require additional behavioural and emotional support throughout the school day.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Youth Workers, Support Workers, or anyone with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.

The Role
  • Full-time position (Monday-Friday, term time only)

  • Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils across the primary age range

  • Supporting children with behavioural, social and emotional needs

  • Using positive behaviour strategies to help pupils engage in learning

  • Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils, staff and families

  • Working closely with the class teacher and ALN team to implement support plans

We're Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour

  • Remains calm, resilient and confident in challenging situations

  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Is reliable, committed and passionate about supporting children to succeed

  • Previous experience within schools, youth work, residential care or similar settings is highly desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
