Primary Teaching Assistant – Hertfordshire

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across a range of primary schools in the Hertfordshire area.

We have opportunities available for day-to-day supply, short-term assignments, and long-term placements, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils' learning and educational development within the classroom.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to the class teacher when required.
  • Promote positive behaviour by following the school's behaviour policy, helping to de-escalate challenging situations, and recognising and encouraging good behaviour.
  • Assist with classroom activities and provide individual or small-group support where needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting pupils and staff.
  • A willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
